Waikato SBST aims to promote the cultural heritage of the Punjabi community in the Waikato region while also promoting sports and fostering a greater sense of understanding and community among people from different backgrounds.
Promote the culture and heritage of the Punjabi community in Waikato and its surrounding regions. This may involve organizing cultural events, celebrations, and exhibitions to showcase Punjabi traditions and customs.
Educate by organizing and facilitating sports among students and young persons. This may involve providing opportunities for young people to participate in sporting activities such as cricket, football, and hockey, which are popular sports in the Punjabi community.
Promote and foster goodwill, tolerance, and understanding. This may involve working with other organizations and communities to promote harmony and unity, and to encourage greater understanding and appreciation of different cultures and traditions.
